website's color [edit: and other suggestions go here]

Congrats for the new Capsule forum!

i'm sorry, but i want to give some critics and suggestions,,
is it proper to use #FF005E (red underlines would be unseen) and #00AAFF on black?
i don't know capsule's color, but imho softer colors would be more proper on black background,,
also you may want to have a good contrast, cause i'm having trouble reading some texts,

On where should I do that?
I could definitely do those changes, and all suggestions are completely welcome.
These colors are a bit bright (going on the MORE! MORE! MORE! theme, except for the photo, thanks to co-admin *glare* long story)
Once FLASH BEST covers come out we'll probably be changing the theme since they'll probably take a different route.

oh, i'll be looking forward for the flash then,,

but i think the contrast is quite critical for now,
for example, when entering post i can't read the date and time up there,,
on normal post view, the thread title is hard to read,,,
and yellow on white (or vice versa) can't be read easily either,,

anyway, i really really hope this forum will be as famous as PerfumeCity!

I removed some custom CSS, and ironically that let me do more things.
I'm still working on adding more contrast– and removing that pink from text fields to be replaced with a very soft gray.

okay, changed that pink to gray, and many colors, while still on the M! M! M! theme... just a little darker. Added more contrast to many sections, so now I just have to change the colors for the special groups, which are Admins, Mods (especially these, with some urgency), and Yoshiko (more info on the Yoshiko group later). One problem is that now Mac users can't, umm, see any text selections by default (although there is a very simple way to bypass that- change the selection color! Very easy)... new buttons coming soon (these are very pixelated and not very nice)... and that "options" section (when posting)= can't see, so I'll change that.

1. change colors for special groups
2. make "options" section legible
3. make new buttons

oh, yeah! the front page looks lots more elegant

Yeah. The screen is definitly nice. But the colors can use some work. I feel like a bad guy for giving you guys work . . . But, great job. I'll give this site. . 5000000.000 stars outta 5.

I'll work on the contrast and... those new graphics are urgent. However, I will gi to Chicago (yayyyyy!!) this weekend and then I'm out for a week... so I'll be back the Sunday after that. I promise I will try to improve the scheme as much as possible (and if anyone wants to see the admin panel for colors, I can screenshot so you can maybe see the interface I'm working with and the options I have)

Anyway, made this a darker gray and darker blue, now I should just clean up the purple. There's something about the purple that I don't like... and the rollover color has low contrast... but other than that, I think that the posting interface is much better in terms of contrast. Let me know if there is anything else that you think could be changed.

And, I'm lazy to check ALL the messages, but I will- I have nothing to do today, so...

I see the softer colors- I like them very much, I will try them out. Perfect contrast, I think that will look great on the site, and then I think I will replace the black with a medium gray.

My screen is actually large too- 1280x800, and this page takes up all 1280 pixels, though if you make the page smaller, that still fits (to a point). I can go down to 12pt.

@Mark: surgery... really? I want to see! (I will in a little).
I shouldn't be getting my copy of FLASH BEST any later than... *counts* September 7. By then, for sure we'll have a new layout. One thing... I'm surprised NO IMAGES have come out yet -_-

I've finally been getting to work somewhat, I think I will change the pink a LITTLE because this one is very pale (web safe colors are too limited!!)... then come new images!... or should I not even waste my time on those since we should be getting something new soon? (I'll make some anyway, but there's some contrast things to take care of)


by the way... when time does come for promotion... I think I will delete a lot of posts (some offtopic) and maybe the whole thread ("pre-release discussions!" and leave another suggestions thread open for debate.
